You’d think after New York Fashion Week, we’d be fashion-pooped. But for Chicsters, that’s never possible! If anything, the shows inspired us to spend a large portion of this holiday weekend shopping. I know it definitely inspired me to do so. Although we saw many versatile looks on the runway last week, one item that stood out to me in particular were bejeweled shoes. Many designers featured boots accessorized with rhinestones this year. And I fell in love with them instantly.
For example, look at these bejeweled beauties that debuted at the Oscar De La Renta show, aren’t they breath-taking? I imagine Batman would love these in place of his batarangs. Just whip the jewels out one at a time while fighting the Joker and he doesn’t stand a chance. However, I’m not certain how these go with a bat suit. You know what they say, shoes make or break an outfit.
Understandably, Oscar De La Renta shoes are a tad out of budget for most of us. Luckily, you don’t have to break the bank to nab this style. Michael Kors introduced similar bejeweled shoes at his show and his FY17 collection is ready to buy, so you can purchase the below bad boys right now!
$725 at Michael Kors
If you prefer only a hint of sparkle, you can always purchase these Badgley Mischka babies. I only need three words to summarize these shoes for you – baby got back.$245 at Badgley Mischka
Also, they’re on sale! Don’t ever say I didn’t do anything for you 🙂
However, the one that takes the cake for me (apart from the Oscar De La Renta thigh-highs) are these Ralph & Russo shoes. I can’t even call them shoes, they’re works of art. The ornamental design spirals around the heel so gracefully, doesn’t it? Plus, they come in multiple colors! Now, they are a bit expensive but I’d consider them an investment item. A large investment item.
$1,670 at Harrod’s
To style, just put on a black dress with any of the above shoes and you’re stellar! At the end of the night, tap your heels and chant “there’s no place like home” to see if they’ll magically transport you back.
